Arctic Drilling Pros and Cons<\/h2>\n

There have been several proposals for drilling inside the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge since President Jimmy Carter established it in 1980. It was protected from oil and gas exploration until 2017 when Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski put a clause requiring two lease sales into the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of the Trump Administration.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We must stay away from fossil fuels if we want human civilization to endure in the long term.
